  5. If I have received a full pardon by the Florida Governor, does that mean I am eligible to have my criminal history record expunged or sealed?

4. If I have received a full pardon by the Florida Governor, does that mean I am eligible to have my criminal history record expunged or sealed?

The answer is, it depends.

    • It depends on whether the pardon document includes language on the document itself stating that the subject of the pardon is entitled to expunge or seal the criminal history record.
    • Otherwise, the granting of a full pardon does not eliminate the ineligibility for expunging or sealing a criminal record whose disposition involved an adjudication of guilt (i.e., conviction).
